Clanton & Associates, Inc. was founded in 1981 and specializes in quality lighting design. The firm employs seven people including a registered engineer, senior designer, three engineers, a CAD technician and an office manager. We have completed over 2000 lighting design projects including interior, exterior, analyses, audit and research work.

The interior lighting projects we have been involved with include schools, general retail stores, residences, office buildings, hotels, restaurants, commercial buildings, educational facilities, libraries, hospitals, clinics, and manufacturing facilities.

The exterior lighting projects we have been involved with include masterplans, ordinances, parks and landscape lighting airport aprons and roadways, municipal roadways, interstate highways, transportation research centers, parking lots, building floodlighting, bridges, sport centers.

The goal of our firm is to provide high quality lighting with a strong design aesthetic and an emphasis on architectural integration. Our work demonstrates our ability to design energy efficient lighting and to promote integrated and sustainable lighting systems. Through the use of an integrated analysis and design approach, the potential for equipment and energy savings in lighting is maximized. Design strategies emphasize environmentally responsible systems which help to avoid glare and light pollution.
