The site lighting design for Anthem at Broomfield creates a softly lighted night time environment for the 3,500-acre residential development located north of Denver, Colorado. All of the landscape and signs are lighted with extremely low wattage lamps of 20 watts or less. LED lighting grazes stone walls or Anthem logos with minimal energy consumption and maintenance. At the time of completion, the roadways throughout the development ranked as one of the largest white light, roadway installations in the country. With its high color rendering capabilities and low wattage, the coated metal halide lamps provide exceptional visibility at a fraction of the energy use of traditional street lighting systems. The low lighting power density further served to reduce the wire size and overall infrastructure throughout the development. The design achieved these energy and equipment savings while providing excellent visibility, reduced glare, and minimal light pollution and trespass. |
