Available Position
This career opportunity is for a full time Senior Lighting Designer / Project Manager to join our team in Boulder, CO. We are currently working in a hybrid mode, with a mixture of in-office and work-from-home.
Manage multiple projects with support from designers, engineers and CADD technicians
Communicate with client, design team and multiple stakeholders
Plan, schedule and manage project deadlines and resources
Actively prepare for and lead project meetings to determine the unique needs of each project and present lighting design solutions
Engage and mentor designers and engineers
Prepare lighting and electrical layouts with design and engineering staff
Prepare scope & fee proposals and manage projects within budgeted fees
Prepare and issue invoices and monthly progress reports
Bachelor of Science in Architectural or Civil Engineering, Bachelor of Arts in Landscape Architecture or other related design degree
5 years experience, with 2 years of project management experience
Creative thinking and problem solving
An appreciation and understanding of architectural design and building systems
Visualization skills - sketching, rendering, modeling, and conveying lighting design concepts and technical information in graphic formats
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in AutoCAD, AGi32, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Willing and able to self-learn new software
Understanding of control integration into projects
Experience with lighting and electrical codes
Developing lighting details in coordination with architects and engineers
GIS, Microstation, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), Microsoft Publisher
