Lighting key to the implementation of smart technology within a city. From electric vehicle charging infrastructure to small cell nodes and fiber.
The City and County of Denver (CCD) Street Lighting Design Guidelines were developed to establish a standard for the application of lighting within CCD. The document is intended to help Designers, Contractors, Plan Reviewers, and other users verify that right-of-way lighting plans meet the CCD’s Technical Plan Review Criteria along with the specifications and standards of the Owner of the lighting system.
Working closely with the city and multiple stakeholder’s, Clanton & Associates developed the Guidelines along with a streetlight training manual for CCD staff, completed an ROI analysis on the city’s streetlights, developed a process statement for how guidelines should be applied by CCD staff, and supported other consultants in the development of a Fiber and Power Conduit Template to support new small cell hybrid pole node locations.
