Lighting helps to revitalize the historic Denver Union Station.
Since 1881, Denver's Union Station has been a landmark for both residents of the city and travelers on the long journey west. Taking inspiration from history, the lighting design of the historic station draws visitors through and creates comfortable gathering areas in and outside the grand hall.
Situated at the heart of downtown, Denver Union Station's public plazas offer versatile spaces for both relaxation and events. The North Plaza’s bosque features strategic lighting to create a peaceful retreat, while the South Plaza’s fountain comes alive at night with color-changing LED lights that transform water jets into a stunning, interactive display. The historic station’s façade is illuminated with a balanced mix of accent lights and soft washes, enhancing its architectural beauty. Pedestrian-scale light poles ensure the plazas remain well-lit and inviting, providing a comfortable atmosphere for visitors day and night.
